I have been taking ashwagandha for two weeks or more. It seems to be causing the same effects as Sugar does for me. If I eat just a small amount of sugary products(which I never do anymore) I will wake up with mucus in my throat. It will keep me awake and keep me from getting enough sleep. That's one of the best incentives I know to help a person stop eating what they're sensitive to. The ashwagandha seems to be doing me the same way. I have persisted with taking it anyway b/c I had not heard of any such side effect and wanted to believe that nobody had any problems with it. However, I am going to have to stop taking it for a while and maybe try again later.

Does anyone have any idea if ashwagandha has any properties that would cause me to have an allergic reaction? I did so waht to believe in it and hoped it could help me.
