Peppermint (Mentha piperita) Essential Oil
100% Pure Therapeutic-Grade

12 good reasons to use peppermint essential oil:

1. Contains phenyls which clear the receptor sites (cells).

2. Contains sesquiterpenes that simulate the secretion of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) from the arterial pituitary.  [ HGH has to be produced by the arterial pituitary—goes to the liver—it is converted in the liver into IGF1’s—goes to the pancreas to support pancreas production with other enzymes and particularly insulin to support immune function.

3. Regulates liver function.

4. Contains sesquiterpenes, alpha pinenes and beta pinene compounds for oxygenating the brain. (research from Berlin University 1994)

5. Supports digestion and pancreatic function.

6. Contains Limonene that is being researched for treating breast cancer.

7. Helps decongest the prostate and urinary tract.

8. Has a hormone-like action in regulating ovarian function.

9. Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is one of the most highly regarded herbs for improving digestion and combating parasites.  It relaxes the smooth muscles of the intestinal tract and promotes peristalsis.  It kills bacteria, yeasts, fungi, and mold.

10. Is a powerful anti-inflammatory and antiseptic for the respiratory system.  It is used to treat bronchitis and pneumonia.  High in menthol and menthone, it helps suppress coughs and clears lung and nasal congestion.

11. Promotes mineral absorption.

12. Enhances nutrient absorption.

This is some information I found while researching peppermint oil.  Some of the information comes from audio cassettes and some of it can be found in the book, "Essential Oils Desk Reference".  There is a lot of research and testing being done with Peppermint oil.

Peppermint oil is one of my favorites!  I love to put a drop in my drinking water.  It is cooling and refreshing.  Water~
