Hello GalWants2BeSlimAgain,
The need or otherwise for Vitamins while fasting?
Scurvy is known to develop on a restricted diet that does not include citrus fruits and other sources of Vitamin C.
However, a protracted water-fast does not produce scurvy or any other deficiency disease.

The taking of Vitamins via the normal channels of digestion is therefore looked upon as unnecessary or superfluous, and will deceive the body into thinking it is on a "restricted diet" and most likely result in deficiencies of one kind or another.
If you are deficient in Vitamin D, then a daily sunbath will alleviate the problem; this will not interfere with the fast as the normal channels of digestion are avoided.
Chrisb1.
