THE CONSPIRACY-THEORY COLUMN

http://theophobia.tripod.com/c-4pi5a.htm

Have you heard of the Illuminati? Probably not. How about the A.'.A.'.? There's even less chance that you'll have heard of them. These are (supposedly) two names of a secret society that is either (depending on who you listen to,) in control of the worlds governments, or in the process of getting control over the worlds governments.

Amongst the people who believe in the existence of the Illuminati, there are two main schools of thought. There are those who believe that the Illuminati are working for the good of Humanity, & there are those who believe that the Illuminati are engineering Humanity's downfall. There is however, no conclusive evidence to prove that the Illuminati exist today.

The "official" historical Illuminati was a short-lived movement of Republican free-thought, founded in Bavaria on May Day, 1776 by Adam Weishaupt, which was eventually banned by an edict of the Bavarian Government in 1785. There are, however, records which seem to date the origins of the Illuminati back to the 11th Century, & before. For the most part, these records are somewhat contradictory, & must be treated with some scepticism.

Although the Illuminati officially ceased to exist after 1785, there is a good possibility that it continued to exist in one form or another after that date. At present, there are a number of groups in operation who would claim to be the "real" Illuminati, & although these claims can, for the most part, be dismissed out of hand (like the Illuminati society which surfaced in America a few years back, but which later turned out to be a university student prank), we must acknowledge the existence of so-called "secret societies", which operate quite openly in our society today, one only has to know what to look for.

So what evidence is there to prove the existence of the Illuminati? What evidence there is very circumstantial, but there is an awful lot of it out there. In the interests of space, we'll just take a look at the most famous piece of evidence -- the American One Dollar Banknote.

Look at the face on the front of the bill. It isn't Washington at all, it's Weishaupt. Compare it with any of the early, authentic pictures of Washington, & you'll see what I mean. When you turn the bill over, the first thing you see is the Illuminati pyramid. You'll notice that it says 1776 on it, but the American government wasn't founded until 1788. Supposedly 1776 is there because that's when the Declaration of Independence was signed. The real reason is that 1776 was the year that Weishaupt revived the Illuminati.

Why do you suppose the pyramid has 72 segments in 13 layers? The reason is that 72 is the cabalistic number for the Holy Unspeakable Name of God, used in all black magic, & 13 is the number in a coven.

Here's one of their jokes: Over the eagle's head you'll see a Star of David - one single 6 pointed Jewish star made up of all of those 5 pointed stars, so somebody could find it & proclaim it as proof that the Elders of Zion control the American Treasury & Federal Reserve.

Now look at the eagle. Look real closely at it's left claw. That's no olive branch, that's our old friend Mary Juana. Bet you've never really looked at a dollar bill like this before, have you?

Bet you never thought there was so much stuff in the American Dollar. But, as always, I'll leave it up to you to decide whether or not there's really anything to it, or whether it's simply the product of an overactive imagination. Anyhow, if the Illuminati do exist, & are reading this, then I've got a very special message for them: Whatever you're doing, I want in!
