Taking Iodine away from food worries me though because it may kill off beneficial bacteria.

I used the search function and found some discussions on the issue, but it still seems like nobody knows for sure. Perhaps in a very diluted form it is completely safe.

What about taking Iodine with apple cider vinegar?
