Hello All,
I have been reading this forum for years, but have never taken the time to post until now. Regardless I am hoping I can get some great insight from the members of this community with my first post. I’ve had a number of symptoms for the past 5 years or so that I attribute to mercury toxicity, candida or both. I did a candida cleanse which helped with a couple of symptoms, but did not eradicate them all. I am now learning I should have probably had my 5 Amalgam fillings removed first. Most of my symptoms started around the time I had two new Amalgam fillings added, one of which had to be redone 3 times.
---Yes you need to get them removed ASAP by a dentist who uses precautions(iaomt.org has good ones).
I’ve had one side of my Amalgams removed and replaced with CEREC, and the other side will get replaced at the end of this week. I am mapped out a comprehensive chelation plan which I wanted to run by you guys for comments, critiques, improvements, etc.
DAY OF PROCEDURE
Chlorella and Vitamin C in high doses before and after procedure. Immediately after procedure I am going to chew a few chlorella tablets, then spit out the residue.
---No. NEVER EVER EVER EVER take chlorella. Don't take vitamin C before the anesthesia as it will affect it.
DAYS 1 – 30 after removal
Detoxamin (EDTA) suppositories 1000 mg every other night
Chlorella 15 tablets twice a day
Garlic twice a day (haven’t decided between a high quality supplement and eating fresh cloves yet)
Vitamin E/Selenium twice a day
Vitamin C twice a day
Liver support supplement (MSM, milk thistle & more) supplement twice a day
Triphala (to force constant bowel movements) twice a day
Copper/Zinc supplement once a day
---What your doing is extremely dangerous and extremely wrong. EDTA should NEVER be used by someone with mercury. Chlorella should NEVER be used by someone with mercury as well. Garlic is high in sulfur and should be avoided. Don't take MSM Milk thistle is fine by itself. Skip triphala. Copper should never be taken by someone with mercury. You need C, E, Zinc, Magnesium, EFA's. Chromium if blood Sugar problems. The rest are optional.
Days 31-60 after removal
Detoxamin (EDTA) suppositories 1000 mg once a day
Chlorella 15 tablets twice a day
Garlic twice a day (haven’t decided between a high quality supplement and eating fresh cloves yet)
Vitamin E/Selenium twice a day
Vitamin C twice a day
Liver support supplement (MSM, milk thistle & more) supplement twice a day
Triphala (to force constant bowel movements) twice a day
Copper/Zinc supplement once a day
---Once again this is horrible and will make you sick.
Days 61-75 after removal
DMSA (suppositories) once a day
Chlorella 15 tablets twice a day
Garlic twice a day (haven’t decided between a high quality supplement and eating fresh cloves yet)
Vitamin E/Selenium twice a day
Vitamin C twice a day
Liver support supplement (MSM, milk thistle & more) supplement twice a day
Triphala (to force constant bowel movements) twice a day
Copper/Zinc supplement once a day
Days 75-100 after removal
DMSA (suppositories) once a day
Cilantro twice a day
ALA 500 mg once a day
NAC (n-acetyl cysteine) twice a day
Chlorella 15 tablets twice a day
Garlic twice a day (haven’t decided between a high quality supplement and eating fresh cloves yet)
Vitamin E/Selenium twice a day
Vitamin C twice a day
Liver support supplement (MSM, milk thistle & more) supplement twice a day
Triphala (to force constant bowel movements) twice a day
Copper/Zinc supplement once a day
The logic is to slowly work up to more intense chelation, and to constantly have adequate antioxidants, adequate bowel movements, and to not start chelating across the blood brain barrier until deep into the chelation plan. I also plan to use an infrared sauna once a day, and possibly take some mercury detoxing baths I have found online.
---Baths don't work. Infared saunas are dangerous. Regular saunas are OK.
Some things I’m not sure about:
1) Should I switch from EDTA to DMSA or stick with just one?
2) Is my overall plan to short? Too long?
3) Am I missing any important pieces here?
4) Should I be taking more breaks or should I be as consistent as this plan lays out?
---NO EDTA!!!!!!! use DMSA for the first 3 months after Amalgam removal then ALA. Antioxidants the whole time. Your overall plan is dangerous and not good. I hate to be blunt but if that's what it takes to get you better I will. At least 3 days on each round and at least the number of days on OFF.
I really appreciate anyone who reads this and or comments. I’m really hoping this can help improve my health.
---Brian, you have the right mindset but the wrong plan. Buy both of Andy's books and know them like the back of your hand. Chlorella, EDTA can't be used. DMSA for the first 3 months then ALA + DMSA for the remainder. Start low and work it up. 12.5mg is a good start. Get a DDI hair test through directlabs.com. The hair elements test. Most importantly, don't do anything stupid and harm yourself. If you do this right you get better, if you do it wrong you get worse. This is coming from someone who made themselves MUCH worse by doing something stupid(chlorella, cilantro). ALA must be dosed every 3 hours, DMSA every 4. Take C, E, Magnesium, Zinc. You also need some EFA's... fish oil is great. Consider selenium, b complex, molybdenum, probiotics for yeast, the other stuff Andy suggests. I stick to the basics because I don't tolerate everything well. Check out the frequent dose chelation group on yahoo groups. Good luck Brian.
