To answer your question, the reason I want to add DMSO to it is to increase saturation through the skin. I am using it topically to treat a muscle problem and having some success and i would like to increase penetration through the skin into the muscle

DMSO carries stuff through the skin in to the bloodstream.  It is not going to just stop at the skin layers or muscle.
