Mira, I think it would be a great idea to find inexpensive ways that people can protect themselves from further exposure, and detox benzenes. People in the Gulf may already be suffering a loss of income, for a number of reasons, and may not have access to expensive equipment or treatments, and affordable ways of detoxing naturally would be of great help.

DQ has posted some good ways of detoxing without a lot of expense, and I'm looking forward to his article on this.

These are some of the symptoms of benzene poisoning, although I wonder if the acute symptoms are the same as the prolonged exposure syptoms?

Many of the symptoms are similar if not the same as those I've seen reported by people living in the Gulf area.
