I've been sleepless in Seattle for the 21 years I've lived here. Before that, I was sleepless in Portland. Somehow that just doesn't sound as catchy. I wonder why . . . .

But seriously folks, I was predisposed to AF because of the way my birth happened. When I was 14 I started becoming depressed. This was triggered by events that happened with my family. As far as I can tell, my AF started developing when I was around 20.

I started becoming sexually active when I was 18, then I became sexually passive. But seriously, my sexua| addiction started developing when I was about 22. It started as a way to cope with my hypomanic Depression and get to sleep at night when I couldn't otherwise. I became aware of my sexua| addiction during my first hospitalization when I was 31. It continued until I started recovering from my AF when I was 32. I'm 48 now, and very rarely have compulsive sexua| tendencies anymore.
