It would depend on your body constitution type and the heat units rating of the particular Cayenne Pepper, that you are taking. Most Mexicans and some other cultures take Cayenne Pepper everyday.

I don't know anyone, who has become insenstive to the effects of Cayenne Pepper. I do know that people usually become insensitive to the heat, that's generated on the tongue, after first taking Cayenne Pepper, when they steadily take Cayenne Pepper on a daily basis for several weeks.
