there is a strong connection between any chronic injury to AF not only from a purely physical connection in terms of cortisol imbalance but also from a mental perceptive in that our mind controls our body so pain that can often lead to depression etc often have dire effect on the adrenals, leading to a downward cycle of cascading symptoms.The good news is that this can often be helped.
