sorry, didn't notice chris had already replied. the reason for my concern was that in the case of a clot that has 'already formed' i'd be concerned that fasting might cause it to break away from the wall of the vein and travel to the lung 'before' the fasting body has consumed it, even though fasting can have the beneficial effect of stopping them from forming in the future.
