I am in the same boat as you. Through swansons I have ordered twice getting the Natures Way, after first studying it all quite a lot. The first bottle was great, no taste and no aftertaste. Like in another forum I read about my second bottle was not as good. It smelled quite fishy the pills had sweated and the container was coated in red smelly oil from just sweat seepage no pills have ruptured. At reorder time I studied a lot again online finding nothing new. Seems like this stuff became a rage a few years ago and seems to have tapered off or at least new posts have. I chatted online with a Swanson agent and got nowhere so I called them. Got a nice sincere sounding lady who said there are a lot of complaints about smell from users of ALL brands their's included. I asked about the higher quantities of vital ingrediants in NKO (Neptune) krill. Her answer really floored me. She said that NKO grows the Krill farm style and feed them so as to have the higher contents compared to every other producer. Sounds nuts and may be but it came from a Swanson telephone product specialist. Dr Eades has a nice blog/forum and he sounds reasonable so I still think I want to stick with the NKO krill product unless they really do farm raise their krill and force feed them an altered diet. Then they can take a leap. Seems like no producer uses standardization units of measure and from batch to batch the smell may differ. I don't care for that idea at all. Dr Eades said if he could find the right product he would also sell it like Dr Mercola does although his is not NKO and comes with a heavy dose of marketing. Perhaps Krill oil has not reached a good maturity yet and we all are just the test rats. I see that NOW sells a Neptune Krill with enteric coating stated to eliminate fishy taste. I am thinking about trying that next even though the content levels are lower as listed.Dr. Eades states he still takes his fish oil pills in addition to the krill which he loudly endorses. I have chosen to follow that plan too but it does add concern to the krill oil claims. Good Luck.
