They tested me for Lyme too - negative. (I was positive for CMV antibodies though). But they tested me for about a dozen infectious diseases, all of which were negative.

Recovery varies for each person. It tends to be a roller coaster for many of us. Most are feeling better by a year later. I think it depends on what kind of reaction one has. Mine has been autoimmune. I was tested for MS and lupus. I think that just about everyone has hormone imbalance issues, which can take a while to balance out again. My neurological problems still trouble me greatly at 10 months post removal. The more you read on this forum, the more you can get a feel for the types of problems women are having and how their recovery is going. Regardless of difficulties in recovery, I don't think ANYONE on this forum regrets having it removed, however.
