It depends if you have high cortisol or low cortisol. In early phases of AF, you usually have high cortisol. You can lower that with phosphatidylserine- Seriphos by Interplexus is a really good brand. Holy basil and zinc will lower it too. As the adrenals continue to weaken, you get low cortisol mixed in with the high and then finally low cortisol that just gets lower if not addressed. A 24hr saliva cortisol test kit will tell you what stage you're in. If you are having trouble sleeping (frequent waking up), Seriphos will lower your night time cortisol. Taking supporting supplements like C, B-complex, extra B5, vitamin A, unprocessed salt and getting to bed before 10pm will help heal the adrenals.

The more severe the adrenal fatigue, then otc stuff like isocort or licorice or even prescription hydrocortisone may be needed.
