Thanks for all the comments. As I started only 3 weeks ago I was very concerned about the same thing.
I am taking Magnascent, and what I discovered, for myself, is that the area of the thyroid starts aching to signal me when to slow down or stop for a few days.
My husband seems to have a lot less detoxing to go through than I do, and he doesn't have the throat thing going on. This makes sense, as he has always been very athletically active outdoors and has a great constitution.
I, however, have been exposed to some medications in the past couple of years containing bromides, and I hope/believe I'm flushing the residue out of my body now.
I understand that some people choose to go forward full force in the belief that they will storm the body, override its defenses, and quickly arrive at Iodine nirvana. (In other words, when confronted with detox symptoms, they speed up rather than slow down.)
Since I have been training myself to listen to my own body for years, I choose to believe that it is telling me what it wants.
Everyone writes their own story, and the secret is to write a story that works, and then believe in it.
It's also important to change the story when it stops working, and write a new one.
