ALUMINUM is absolutely ubiquitous in baked goods, from Little Debbie snack cakes to Duncan Hines cake mix to whole wheat flour tortillas. This is a travesty. Get the ten dollar cheaters if you can't read the fine print but by all means check every label...and get the baking powder that is aluminum-free, Rumsford. Feh! I've even asked toney restaurants and donut shops to show me the ingredients, even asking for the sack of pre-mix if they didn't have a print-out. Starbucks, for example, has aluminum in their baked "goods." FEH! It's like something out of Gibbon's "The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire"...blame it on the lead. Now were slurping up aluminum like it's ambrosia. God help us!
