Hi Willow,

thanks for your concern and your great post!

I've read about the Miracle II Products when Uny first posted about them several months ago. And they seem really great to me. - Only problem: I live in Germany and I think it's just too complicated to have every day products shipped overseas and having to deal with customs, etc. all the time. I would buy them immediately, if I could find a source for them here.

And you're absolutely right with your reccomendation of not clogging the pores and especially with avoiding all sorts of chemicals on the skin. But I still think having a 100% natural skin cream can be nourishing and maybe even healing to the skin. The ingredients that I was planning on using would be Avocado Oil, Shea Butter, Aloe Vera juice, Jojoba Oil, etc. Everything 100% natural and organic ingredients. And the only problem I have right now (and that's why I posted) is finding an emulsifier that is a) 100% natural and b) makes a skin cream that is not greasy.

And I'm actually (didn't have time to research yet) pretty sure that Lysolecithin, the emulsifier that I was asking about, is not natural. In that case I will not be using it. The only 2 natural emulsifiers that I know of are Wool Wax and Bee's Wax. And in order to get a non-greasy cream with these two, one has to be a little experienced with making skin creams, because both tend to make greasy creams.

I will finally have to get a little deeper into how to make one's own skin care products. I think the idea of having your own 100% natural skin care products is just great. Here, even the organic and 100 % natural skin care products that you can buy in the stores are all but 100% natural.

And: The skin problem that I have is pretty serious and I'm currently treating and researching intensley and Uny is helping me, too. The skin cream that I want to make is a whole other thing. Does'nt have anything to do with my skin problem. From my own experience skin creams don't have any influence on the infection. It's something going on inside that also shows on my skin. But, you're right, while treating this infection I will probably not be putting anything onto my skin (except antifungal/antibacterial herbs, to get relieve from the symptoms). But for the time after the infection is healed (and I am confident I'll get there) I want to have a nice skin cream just for general care of the skin.

Thanks again and I'll let you know how it goes,
healthy greetings,
Solmare
