Who's justifying evil? And who's saying it's necessary? And why are you even trying to judge what's good or evil? I have never met anyone who has the ability to take in all the facts about reality or even know what they are, and make those decisions. I guess you've never learned that there are a many ways to react to the same situation.
One person can react to the death of a loved one by a drunk driver with hostility towards the whole world or just to people who drink. Another could make it their life passion to pass some stupid "law" that they think will solve the "problem." Another can learn to love and forgive. Another can learn those people need help and try to help them and it just might happen that they find someone they love even more. The posibilities are endless. The question is if you want to be a grumpy old man that just sits there and complains about it all or try and make the world a better place starting with yourself. The blinders and diapers have to be taken off first though.
Some of the most important and meaningful lessons I've learned were from what you'd call evil situations. And in every case I can look back now and say What was the big deal. So you will NEVER convence me that good things can't result from bad situations. And I am fully aware others are unwilling to that. I ask why. And once you figure out why, then you'll know that's what you need to do.
