whether one chooses to be a vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore... I am sure that this discussion has more than illustrated that the big issue for most no matter what diet they choose to do, is doing it right.

As just one point this post of yours illustrates the need for plenty of vegetables, especially green leafy vegetables, in an omnivore diet.

If I eat meat on any particular day... it is one meal only... the rest of the day it is fruits, vegetables and a handful or two of seeds and nuts, if anything. The meal that does include meat is at minimum... 3/4 vegetables... most often, raw and\or fermented.

I knew a vegetarian when I was younger who would watch TV and eat heads of lettuce with bottles of ranch dressing... he was extremely unhealthy, chronically tired, and very over weight.

I have also known processed meat eaters... who were in the same boat as this vegetarian health wise.

Bottom line... as we have concluded... it is the quality of your food and the way you practice your diet of choice that determines its benefit in the end... and as HV stated, the way in which you handle stress plays an important part as well.
