The anti-soy issue I believe has more to do with Genetically-Modified than the soy itself... same with corn, cotton, canola, etc.

The formula you were given was non-GMO... Genetically-Modified-Organisms soy wasn't in production then as near as I can tell.

I suspect a little research could dig up whether it was fermented or not... and\or had probiotics included as part of the infant formula.

things in this world have certainly changed since then...
