Hi,
I have costochondritis and a chest specialist who has worked with patients with costochondritis diagnosed me and told me that the cause of it was my fall onto concrete.
I have tried ice packs, heat packs, cortizone injections etc and the only thing to help is an anti-flamatory tablet called "mobic".
I would go see a chest specialist that has knowledge of costo so you can:
1. be diagnosed as having it. diagnosing yourself on the web isnt a good idea
2. then get treatment/tablets such as mobic.
i dont have swelling like ur photo does, sorry but that may be weight gain with costochondritis sore spots underneath or could be another symptom i have not heard of.
i have my costochondritis and pain in the same area as your swelling.
if you are in melbourne, australia go see Dr. Tim wood at the glenferrie private hospital for a proper diagnosis ok!?
if not go to lots of docs and get the swelling sorted out!!
keep well
