Tammy, funny thing. I just read an article right before I logged on here saying that if your free T4 is <0.9 mg/dL and your TSH is <1.0 mU/mL you are likely to have central hypothyroidism. My understanding of central hypothyroidism--somebody correct me if I'm wrong--is that your thyroid gland itself is fine but your pituitary isn't putting out as much TSH as you need to make your thyroid produce the amounts of thyroid hormones that you need. Even though your T4 is slightly higher than this range, this could be possibility. After all, it's just a range. The optimal value for an individual is going to vary.
