Don't know about Timothy Leary being right, but I was involved in a study about recreational drug use in parents, (LSD, MDMA, GHB and amphetamines) leading to a higher than average incidence of having a child with autism. The results were quite stunning, and very worrying, as more people are using synthetic compounds today.
