Hi Jay ~~

Your skin infection sounds very serious & I understand how concerned you are.

By Curezone rules, I'm not permitted to give you specific "medical advice."  But I can suggest steps you can take for further diagnosis & treatment.

First, try to get an appointment with your primary care doctor ASAPBe sure to mention eating fish & rare meat before the skin infection developed.  Also take copies of tests, a list of meds you've taken, & doctors you've seen.

I strongly suspect that something in your diet was the source of your skin infection ~~ perhaps toxins or pathogens in the fish or rare meat you ate on several occasions.  If this is the case, then antibiotics may resolve the infection.

You said your skin infection improved slightly with Clindamycin.  The doctor will probably prescribe one or more types of antibiotics to try for 2-3 weeks until a silver bullet is found.

Also, ask your doctor to order urine, blood, & stool sample tests to check for other types of disease or infection, including parasites.

Most doctors don't have specialized training to diagnose & treat parasitic skin diseases.  So they don't keep track of the latest treatment methods.

Others have the opinion that only poor, dirty, uneducated, lower-class people in 3rd-world countries get any kind of parasite infection, so it's impossible for anyone in the US to have parasites!

They simply diagnose patients who mention parasite symptoms as suffering from "Delusions of Parasitosis," prescribe anti-psychotic drugs (which is a big dose of BS), & refer them to a psychiatrist! (http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1592951#i)

The Rx the doctor gave you for Stromectol (Ivermectin) is the "standard dosage" in the medical drug guides for Scabies.

Most doctors consider drug guides as "gospel" ~~ even though case studies & medical journals show poor cure rates with low dose, one-shot, or short-term drug treatment methods ~~ which IMHO wouldn't kill a piss ant! (lol)

So it would be pointless to argue that you read something different online about parasite drugs. (lol)

I'm hopeful that more antibiotics will clear up your condition, but it may take a while.

Be sure to read the drug info you get with your meds.  Check that there aren't any foods or other meds that might cause a conflict.  Also carefully follow the dosing schedule ~~ don't skip or double-dose.

And, last, but not least, don't quite taking antibiotics abruptly if you feel slightly better.  Otherwise, you might develop a drug resistance or immunity, & your infection could return in spades.

Also read about the Herxheimer effect.  This sometimes occurs when your immune system battles toxins released by dying parasites, bacteria, viruses, etc, while taking drugs:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1617480#i.

Try these topical treatments for parasites, scabies, & mites infections in the skin, scalp & soft tissue:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1628324#i.

In the meantime, since some of your symptoms indicate a possible hyperinfection of disseminated or scattered parasites, review the references, symptoms, & life cycles in the following drug treatment protocols:

ROUNDWORMS (Intestinal, Systemic, & Scattered Nematodes)  Albendazole:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1566532#i

TAPEWORMS (Cestodes)  Niclosamide, Praziquantel, & Albendazole:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1602094#i

STRONGYLOIDES, FILARIASIS, & MORGELLONS  Albendazole & Ivermectin:  http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1586882#i

Be sure to keep your dermatology appointment in September for the skin biopsy ~~ just in case!

Good luck & wishing you a speedy recovery, Jay!

Cheers ~~ ICU
