I think the issue with the chemo/radiation issue is added toxicity or damage to the cells. Glutathione is more than likely quite low in cancer patients to begin with and further radiation and/or chemo would reduce glutathione levels even more. Since glutathione is a redox enzyme, protection of the healthy cells may be compromised. The Cubans measure key antioxidants such as glutathione and SOD to tailor optimal doses of ozone.
