When I was younger I said marriage should be a contract. Choose a 6 month, 12 month, 18 month contract, then go from there. You may or may not want to renew.

Now I am old enough to make one marriage last until death!

But from age 20 something-stay happily married until 80 or 90 years old? That is for the very few.
