I would start looking on the net for other sites for alternative therapies for ADD and nutritional deficiencies. I am very fortunate that my daughter doesn't have ADD, she's just very strong willed. But she's had a problem getting to sleep at night for years. I finally resorted to melatonin to help her get to sleep. With bipolar folks, tryptophan might be a better choice. My daughter's friend has had sleep difficulties for years. I told her mom about melatonin and she did some research on it since there's a possibility her daughter's inherited her bipolar and found that tryptophan would be better. So far 250mg does the trick in getting her little night owl to go to bed before 2am.
As far as the transmitters, I'll bet that with correcting the nutritional deficiencies, getting him iodinated, his vitamin D levels up to where they should be, that will get corrected. Stephanie Buist, who is an Iodine advocate and patient/friend with Dr. David Brownstein has 2 kids who are hypo and one who is ADD. She says he's made great strides since he's been getting treatment for his hypothyroidism and taking iodine. She'd be a really good resource to get ideas from. Her group is: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/iodine/.
It may take her a while to answer a message directly though, cause she's taking classes, but there are other members that have kids with ADD and autism so someone is bound to answer if Steph can't get to it right away.
