I was wondering about historical tolerance to high dose iodine. I know you've read a lot of old books and the doses seem extreme. Is there ever any mention of detox reaction back then? Were people just less toxic so it just wasn't an issue? Or perhaps they just took their medicine expecting pain and discomfort as the price of cure like doing chemo? Maybe we are just too sensitive to discomfort as well as toxic?
