fluconazole is just the generic form of Diflucan. It is suppose to be pretty brutal to yeast and other forms of fungus. Also pretty brutal to the liver if on it for very long.

What are the "many, many other symptoms" you say you have?

Just curious because I am interested in the same things as you, and could possibly have similar symptoms.
