What would work for ink is lamp black and some very thin oil, mixed with strong walnut tea and cooked down.

and then maybe apply with a brush instead of a quill.
Back to the ancient oriental brushwork for writing...

Paperweights and/or sand to dry it.

Beeswax to seal it.

That'll do it.

I see why scribing was an entire career.
