I have had to take enemas for the last 30 years just to go to the bathroom. I use plain water and find now that I have severe leg cramping if I don't take electrolytes before and after. I have been reading about baking soda and coffee enemas in this forum and I am so relieved to have found this. I was told by a "doctor" many years ago that I would eventually need a colostomy because I have a lazy bowel. I could not believe it.
My Dad had one and shortly after they put it back, he died of gangreen of the colon. My Mom died of a ruptured colon when the doctors gave her a barium enema but neglected to tell her to clean herself out!
I am not overweight - 109 lbs at 5'3" and I am healthy other than this constipation and cronic urethral cystitis.
Back to my question: Will putting baking soda in my enema restore electrolytes. Will I ever be able to go on my own.
I don't eat a lot, granted; but I do eat well and a lot of fiber is in my diet. I also drink at least a gallon of water a day. I exercise and do not smoke and now I can't even drink without getting severe leg cramps....so that's out! I feel bloated when I eat the smallest of food portion and am in constant low grade pain (4) - but it is getting to me because I just want to feel normal. Any suggestions. How does The Master Cleanse work.

Thank you so much.
