well, yes. Only a fragmented conciousness (split away form its core) could be sold the gold stars of consumerism, the way that's saleable these days.


One thing that can disconnect one from a lot of that programming and hupnosis, (besides, of course, cutting cable and junking the TV) is doing a water fast. In the duration, one can meet the energies of foods one's consumed for forever...very interesting.
Also, can meet (or make way for) the still voice, the one that can't be heard over the stuff that passes for communication.
