No, I don't believe it makes any difference to them. If we were extracting the goodies from the herbs without tincturing them we would be using boiling water for teas or decoctions. The water is never over boiling temp and then only that for a few seconds. Uny also makes this suggestion in a few places and Dr. Schulze too.
