Ah, bread. I collected bread recipes on my first 29 day fast. I loved reading about artisan bread, and imagined making these
at some later point. I think I also printed out a lot, and used up some coloured printer ink. But at no time did I confuse that thought with actually eating--and I kept paying attention to how good and clear my mind felt, and how the body seemed lighter, albeit more inclined to lose stamina for anything much. Nor did I torment myself with "you can't have this" : I enjoyed reading about bread and looking at pictures. (This is the psychological part--don't fight with yourself) There are some amazing bakers out there--You could learn about sourdough, (no more junk bread!) and wild yeasts, and making them yourself out of grapes and pineapple. Ooops. sorry.
Be mindful that you don't stick your finger into something, and taste it before you are even aware -- as one always does, making food for others. Sip a glass of water when you feel a wave of so-called hunger.
Think of cravings as ripples, and yourself as the calm still of a lake, in the sunshine. Take baths, and enjoy the sense of so much water. Get real live sun. Breathe in the smell of flowers; brush your teeth a lot, with just water.
Cry is you feel like it--lots of that is just toxins releasing. And you'll begin to notice that you can actually breathe in nutrition.
