Okay these are some of my favorite parks in nyc, I think they would make a great outing and I will tell you why!
1.Central Park (59th street to 110th street)
2.Madison Square Park (23rd street -28th street park avenue ish)
3.Union Square Park( 14th street to 18th street Union Square east and west)
4.Tompkins Square Park (7th to 10th street and avenue b ish)
5.City Hall Park (downtown near brooklyn bridge and park row, JR music world)
6.The High Lines (west 12th street to 40th)
7. Prospect Park (Brooklyn)
1) Central Park is very large and beautiful. it is over four miles long and has old fixtures as well as new. You can not call yourself a new yorker and never visit this park!
2) Madison Square Park is in midtown and there are lots of beautiful new sculptures to ogle while sitting on a bench. Also there are places like seven eleven and Jamba Juice and a bunch of other restaurants in case you want to get a drink and chill in the park.
3)Union Square Park is in a great location, it is filled with sun and other college aged kids and lots of great street vendors and stores (And Yes a Jamba Juice!).
4)Tompkins Square Park is just cool, it reeks of the 80s/90s but it is safer plus avenue A is near by and there are some beautiful boutiques and mom and pop restaurants.
5) I live in the area of City Hall Park so thats why I listed it, plus the Brooklyn Bridge is right across in case you wanted to take some great pictures
6)High Lines is in the meat packing district. It was once an above ground train station and now it is a beautiful lush garden park that stretches for over a mile. I have been meaning to go but I have not had the time. I walked underneath it a couple of months ago and it was very beautiful. Very great to go check out what was once a train station!
7) I have not been to prospect park in years but last time I was it was very beautiful. I remember trees being in bloom!
Okay thats all I know, let me know what you think and if you are going so I can have an accurate portrayal of who will be there!
