Julie77, I believe your vote is much closer to the truth. 'Stupid', 'coverup', 'abysmally ignorant and arrogant', 'incompetence and decadence'.

Conspiracy stuff will enter in to it as advantage is taken of those things above.

I am reminded each time I walk out to the car now, that we are all BP. If we use a car, use plastics, shop at markets where the product is shipped in, and the list goes on and on, if we are consumers in this culture, we are BP.

Reading your missives really hits hard. Everyone one of us is affected by this, but to walk out your door and be in this is a completely different thing.
