It's great to hear she is benefiting from iodine, but the 89% in the test reflects a lot of the Iodine is going right thru her to her urine. If she tests again I bet it will be lower and be a more accurate reflection because she will start absorbing better. Which lab did she use?

Iodine will gradually make her symporters (iodine absorbers) work even better. Anti-oxidants will help get the oxidation-damaged symporters improved.

The salt water will help with any skin outbreaks. Is she taking that? That will scoot out the bromide which is blocking Iodine absorption.

Menstrual cycle changes are usually attributed to the estrogen receptors being normalized, not so greedy.
