Thank you so much for the input!
I must say, I feel better than I ever have. I think I had thyroid issues my whole life. My feet were always very cold and when my mother took me to the doctor as a teen, they had no answers. Looking back (DCIS at a young age, painful periods, cold feet, dry skin, etc.) all point to thyroid function. I had tried so many things over the years and spent loads of money trying to get a doctor to help me with my painful periods. I felt like I was giving birth every month. Iodine is a life saver for this and I never thought I was going to be better in one month, I knew this was a long haul. The ferritin seems to be the problem right now as I supplement a lot with b-complex and energy is NOT the problem. I point to iron stores because of my need to chew ice, which I know is a sign you are anemic. About 4 years ago, my iron was so low, my doctor was concerned (periods were 10 days at the time).
So back to your experience, do you think I could use krill oil for DHA? I read that is a good one to supplement. I eat 2 tab. of Chia seeds a few times a week for the EFA. Wonder if that has the DHA in it. Also, do you think I should take an iron supplement or use black strap molasses. I have heard the molasses helps. It is so funny how all these things inter mingle. Other than the burning mouth and urge to chew ice, I feel good! Tons of energy although I do notice a slight shortness of breath lately when I climb a flight of stairs or something.
So, I am going to concentrate on iron stores.....and try Krill oil and see if that helps!
