Sorry for the delay in the reply.

I apply by putting some in the palm of my hand. Then i scoop a little out with a finger, and gently rub it over the area.

I then lather the rest of it up, and wash my hair!

With the cold water, i let it run over my face without rubbing. Just let the cool water wash it off. I then dab my skin dry with a towel.

I never rub the skin at any stage. Even though its been a year since it last flared up, i dont risk it.
