There are standard reactions and then there are rare freaky sidefx. Just about anything can give just about anyone some random shit, although in probiotics' case, that would likely be either:
a) allergy to other components - binders, fillers, capsule gelatin etc.
b) fungal die-off symptoms - you suddenly feel awful and figure you've got the sidefx, when in fact that's what you're taking working as 100% promised

As to what MDs say, if they're educated and/or connected to the internet, and actually bother to make the effort, they'll be quoting the same sources as myself or other forum members here. Both us and MDs can be incompetent idiots, too, of course :) But barring anyone here being Joseph Mengele in disguise, we really haven't ever had the chance to truly experiment on human subjects other than ourselves and are forced to use reference materials that we deem trustworthy, y'know?
