If your stomach acid and immune system would successfully kill any and ALL biologicals that you consume, you wouldn't be on this forum.

And, in any case, whenever you're dealing with sources of bacteria or fungi, the numbers of CFUs (colony-forming units aka "live ones") are often in the billions per gram range... so, even if your body kills off say 99.99%, that still leaving quite a lot of them alive and well.
