fasting will mostly make Depression worse before it's eradicated. Your Depression depends entirely on your pre-fast diet and the drinking of beverages such as tea and coffee for example.

Perseverance is usually required for a fast in the early stages, but this depends on your motivation as well.

The early to mid Hygienists strongly approved of ideal surroundings for motivation: a stay in a health-retreat under the supervision of qualified personnel, where you mix with like-minded fasters who are there for a variety of health issues, and who offer encouragement in achieving your goals.

Fasting in isolation is not easy, but at least you have the support of this forum...........something that I wished that I had when fasting for 25 days and then 30 days when the internet was not around in those days.

Believe me........you are very lucky and fortunate to have access to a forum such as this. Please take full advantage.
