I had a fecal odor awhile back but it would come back on and off. It then turned into a musty odor. To tell you the truth the odor was always different, depending on what I would eat. Then it got to the point where it started to smell like a smokey odor when I took the HCL tablets alone.But there were times when I took the the filtered apple cider vinegar and it would be fecal again so I would take the vinegar with a little water like twice a week, then I stopped it altogether. It was only when I broke wind did the smell start to go away and  at times, and I noticed  really bad heartburn that's when I knew it was acid and gas related.

My breath was bad but not fecal smelling though. I would wake up in the mornng with bad breath.
