Hi,

I have done 3 liver/gb flushes over the course of a year and a half or so (Due to housing instability could not do more in that time). Using gold coin grass, malic acid and chinese bitters to prepare and clean helpful diet.

The first and second I felt better after. Though after the second I noted I was really tired for 3 weeks, like when my body is trying to detox but isn't quite getting over the hump. Once I got through that though I felt better with some symptoms of fibromyalgia gone.

The third cleanse I threw up the mix in the middle of the night. I still passed stones the next day anyway. 2 days later I had a pain begin under my left rib, then my right and then had nauseau, stomach pain, greatly increased fatigue and I feeling emotionally toxic. i.e. having emotional symptoms that I usually only had before if I was eating too much sugar/food I don't tolerate well or when I was taking antifungals for a candida cleanse and felt my body either coudln't handle them or was having die off. Also significant belching - even just after drinking water. And my period came early, and has ever since.

I did the cleanse 6 months ago. Since that time I still have symptoms. Dr. diagnosed them as irritable bowel syndrome. Some things are better. I dont' belch all the time. The stomach pain is mostly gone, but there is still a lot of gurgling when I eat. And belching is still not totally gone, just better. And also gas when eliminating bms. I also need to eat way less than before or I feel toxic. I get what feels like panic attacks, and then when I have a bowel movement it alleviates itself. Also pms increased symptoms/toxic feeling.

All of this suggests increased toxicity since the liver flush, not less. I looked into if a stone was stuck: an ultrasound showed no stones stuck. Blood work showed gall bladder and liver functioning properly. I had 3 colonics and no stone came out. WHen I had the colonics there was significant gas that seemed to be blocking what wanted to come out in the 3rd flush (though the first a lot came out.) Since the colonics the stomach pain I had is gone and instead of just gas, am having gas AND bms again (i.e. less constipated).

I was advised to do another flush by the people I get my gold coin grass etc. from, saying they thought a stone was stuck, but I don't know how that could be the case after looking into things re. the above tests etc.? I feel that doing another cleanse MIGHT help, but it also might make it even worse, if in fact this happened because I couldn't handle the cleanse due to the chronic health issues I have - fibro, chronic fatigue, allergies etc. i.e. compromised detoxification ability? I sure wouldn't have done that last flush if I'd have known what I would suffer after.

So like I said, is another flush the answer OR are the symptoms becasue the flush was too much for me and my body could not detoxify what was released properly? How can I know which it is?

It is 6 months later though and I still struggle significantly with feeling toxic, overtired, sweating a whole lot some nights and waking up really thirsty. My tongue is often quite red on the ends and sides which I used to get doing the candida cleanse (I have concluded I could NOT handle the antifungals and that was a sign my liver was struggling with it...)i.e. tongue suggests liver is feeling overtaxed.

So I wonder if supporting my liver with something is a better way to go than another flush.

Has anyone else done the flush and had an adverse result similiar to this? If so, what did you do that helped? I just wish there was a test that could determine precisely what is going on and what the best course of action is. Like I said, I don't feel I want to risk doing another flush in case it made things worse, and am wondering if ther would be an alternative way to deal with this. I'm sure there must be, but I just need to find it. AND/OR do these things suggest another Liver Flush is needed and what can I do/why should I assume it will be safe/helpful for me this time?

Thanks in advance for any helpful suggestions you can share.

PS - The irony in all this is that ever since that last flush that has led to all these problems, the body pain I used to have is basically gone! At least that's good. :0)
