Hello,
On citric acid :
I thought acid fought candida? I thought candida flourished in alkalinity?
Or, does the ingestion of such acid, especially, I suppose, in the form of whole acid fruits, does the ingestion of fruit acids, contribute to candida overgrowth, not only via its Sugar content, but also by actually alkalinizing the body (through its prompting the body to release alkaline minerals [from bones/teeth] into the bloodstream [Stanley Bass discusses this and attributes the deterioration of teeth in fruitarians to this phenomenon]?
So, do you avoid citric acid due to its being something that alkalinizes the body?
Although: I notice that very acid fruits do not give me the bloating associated with candidiasis, while sweet fruits are excruciating to eat, and actually are no longer even appealing to me -- I can feel the bloating anticipatorily when I merely THINK of eating them (sweet fruit -- which may be LESS alkalinizing and therefore ought to cause LESS suffering?)
It seems the anticandida diet is designed to acidify the body... is this true?
Many thanks in advance for your reading/response!
