"Is it ok to intermittent dry fast?"

Hey there Roadrunner,

According to Chrisb1, absolutely.

"I went all day today today without food and water
and never really got thirsty.
If i drink water on the water day this should keep me hydrated on the dry day shouldnt it?
Im using the fast five/warrior approach..
I go 20 hours dry, then in the late afternoon I drink the water during the "window" of about 4 hours, then off to bed and back to dry fasting till the next day, afternoon.
So the dry period is only 20 hours.
And I sip it too when the window opens, not guzzeling after dry fasting that long."

Wow, this sounds almost exactly like the protocol i have implemented, both in my current fast and in the previous 2. It's not always 20 hours for me, sometimes less, other times more, but we are both engaged in the concept of drinking only within a short window then going for a long stretch, resisting light thirst and drinking only once the thirst has become stronger (presumably this is true for you).

"I feel prety hydrated right now.
Any thoughts?"

My only added thought would be to drink when thirsty (resisting light thirst and awaiting a thirst more difficult to resist while avoiding signs of dehydration) and not necessarily be locked into 20 hour periods. In this fast i have dry fasted for as much as 44 hours and for as little as 15.

Best wishes.
