Kenpo Karate is a good one as they include many soft tissue targets with the hands such as the eyes, groin and throat. You also learn to read people if you practice the right type.
It takes forever to be able to really fight good with ti though as the best techniques are saved for higher belts.
Their is no substitute for physical strength, stamina and speed though. Get a Gun and some Mace also.
