The first and only time I did a flush, I didn't use anything to "catch" the stones, but they did float, and I fished one out of the bowl and was surprised that it not only looked like a pea, but crushed like one too. This time, however (I'm working up to a flush today), I'll be using a net. In a local dollar store, I found a fine-mesh, elasticized net made for putting over floor fans so that little ones can't put their fingers into the fan -- and realized that it should work perfectly for catching the stones I hope to evacuate tomorrow.
