You most likely have an autonomic nervous system regulation disorder. You would benefit from Biofeedback, but to tell you the truth, I am a hand therapist and I use Qi Gong with my patients and it is pretty miraculous. I have seen people with chronic pain--8/10 fire pain--open their eyes after five minutes and, with a stunned expression, report 0/10 pain.

Check out Lee Holden's Qi Gong for Beginners. I am certain it will help you with self regulation.
